Watching Ugly Betty

We wont see a new episode of Ugly Betty until next Thursday but ABC has given us something to tide us over till then. ABC will air a special episode tomorrow night looking at the best moments from the season so far. The special is called The Beautiful World of Ugly Betty; I think that’s rather appropriate. Grey’s Anatomy will also air a special episode right after Ugly Betty. This video from YouTube features both shows.

Episode #10 Fake Plastic Snow

Tomorrow’s classic episode of Ugly Betty guest stars Salma Hayek and Ava Gaudet. In it Betty is questioning her relationship with Walter when she begins to get feelings towards Henry. Daniel is hopelessly in love with Sofia, Marc is fearing for his life when he finds out Wilhelmina’s secret and Amanda wants Betty’s job! Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Episode #18

Ugly Betty is all new tonight and finally it’s the kiss we have all been waiting for. No it’s not Betty and Henry, its Betty and Marc! Marc’s meddling mother comes to visit and apparently she doesn’t know or is completely oblivious to the fact that Marc is gay.

Marc asks Betty to pretend to be his girlfriend and Marc and his mother come over to Queens for dinner. We know it’s a good show anytime the Suarez home is invaded by Meade family members or Betty’s office workers. Is another brother sister showdown on the way? Alexis and Daniel are forced to be coeditor in chief of Mode magazine, and Alexis gets a sexy photo shoot.

What I want to know?
Bradford should be out of jail by now. Is a touching father daughter moment on the way? Doubtful both Alexis and Bradford are vindictive and great at holding grudges and that should make good TV for us!

Is that Wilhelmina in Claire’s hospital room? What could the diabolical diva be planning? Why is Claire even in the hospital?

Icinng on the Cake
The previews for this all new episode of Ugly Betty looks great! Henry invites Betty to Charlie’s (Jayma Mays) birthday party and Betty asks her orthodontist if he wants to be her date. Wilhelmina uses Daniel’s hiring of Grace Chin (Lucy Liu) as Bradford’s lawyer to break up the happy family and prove to Alexis that Wilhelmina is the only one she can trust. Amanda is declared by a designer to be his muse and you have to see the dress she inspired.

What I want to know!
-Who is the mysterious woman who surprises a naked Daniel and Grace in bed?
-Will Grace find out that Daniel only pretended to call and apologize to all the women he used in college?
-Will Claire confess to the authorities?

Episode #7: After Hours
Betty gets the chance to write a review for a luxurious new hotel. Daniel and Sofia (Salma Hayek) are still dancing around each other and her and her team taking over the Mode conference rooms makes the situation even more intense. Wilhelmina gets in touch with the cowboy life while trying to woo an extremely rich male client from Texas. Brett Cullen guest stars as the cowboy.

Episode # 6: Trust, Lust and Must

Repeat Ugly Betty episode on tonight. Betty and Hilda are trying to raise funds to get Ignacio a lawyer. Wilhelmina has to deal with her resentful daughter Nico. Salma Hayek makes her first appearance as Sofia and has a rather revealing moment with Daniel on the elevator. Full episode recap will be available here after the show.

In the new episode of Ugly Betty “Derailed” Henry’s girlfriend Charlie (Jayma Mays) finally makes an apperance and Charlie and Betty become friends before Betty realizes who she is! Will the fragile bond between Santos and Justin established in last weeks episode grow stronger? Maybe not when Santos agrees to accompany Justin and Hilda to see a production of the so not macho musical Hairspray. The snowstorm has trapped Marc in the office with Christina (that should be good for some laughs). Hilda is in Cosmetology school and poor Ignacio gets to be her real life hair dummy.

The design a dress for Ugly Betty Competition is now over and the winner’s design will be featured on tonight’s episode. The challenge called for contestants to create a sketch for Mode seamstress Christina (Ashley Jensen). The design needed to reflect Christina having to create an elegant dress in only 12 hours (a hard enough task as is) for an A list celebrity.

To make matters worse she’s snowbound in the offices of Mode and has to use the supplies that are on hand such as tape, bubble wrap and paperclips. Out of 1800 submissions one was chosen (Ricardo Rodriguez of Fort Lauderdale). Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City fame is the A list actress who Christina has to design a dress for.
