The Beginning: Staff meeting

Betty and the rest of the Mode staff are in a meeting and Wilhelmina is reading the letter from the editor. Betty tries to get a bagel by leaning behind her and knocks over the whole table and disturbs the meeting. Marc is polite enough to whisper to her that no one notices but of course everyone noticed. Betty asks Wilhelmina shouldn’t the editor (Daniel) be writing the letter from the editor and Wilhelmina quickly shuts her up.

At the hospital Daniel informs Betty that Alexis doesn’t remember the last 2 years of her life as Alexis keeps hilariously grabbing her boobs (which makes Betty grab her own boobs as well). Betty convinces Daniel to take a look at the book (the current issue) before it goes to press. Daniel still blames himself for the accident and doesn’t know how to break the news to Alexis of everything she’s missed. Including: Claire Meade is on the run from the law (Alexis later sees this on TV), their father rejected her, Claire and Bradford are divorcing and Bradford’s going to marry Wilhelmina.

Back at Mode Marc sends off the hair samples from Amanda and Bradford to see if he’s her father. The test will take 24 hours meanwhile Amanda has already contacted Fey Sommers lawyers to see how much of her estate she is entitled to receive.

At the Suarez home boxes are everywhere. Hilda is going through all of Santos belongings from his apartment. Hilda also took the time to brown bag a lunch for Justin on his first day at Mode but he rejects it. Hilda lets Justin know how proud of him she is and how proud Santos would be too.

Wilhelmina introduces her new bodyguard Dwayne to Marc. Marc uses the bodyguard for a bit of fun when Betty comes into the office by telling the man she’s Claire Meade and poor Betty ends up in a hold. When Wilhelmina finally gets him to let her down Betty asks her for the book to show Daniel. Wilhelmina dismisses her so Betty turns to Marc who’s even less help. He does however let it slip that the book is in Wilhelmina’s apartment. When Betty sees Marc open his desk drawer to give a key to Wilhelmina’s apartment to Dwayne she waits till he walks out and steals one!

The Beginning: Picks up 3 weeks after the Season 1 finale

Betty has fallen asleep on the couch and dreams she’s in a telenovela dressed as a maid. As she cries over Henry and Charlie together Henry comes in and tells her he loves her. The two start to kiss when Charlie shows up very pregnant and holding a gun and Henry chooses her instead. Justin wakes up Betty and the two talk for a moment. They mention Hilda has been hiding out in her room for the last three weeks, and they both miss Ignacio who is still stuck in Mexico waiting on a Visa. Betty rushes off to work and Justin is off to summer camp.

Upstairs Hilda is in bed, and Santos comes out the bathroom with bandages wrapped around his torso. Santos wants to go home but Hilda is afraid to let him out of her site since the shooting. She tells him they have a great setup and turns on Fashion TV where Wilhelmina is given an interview on her wedding and the Meade sibling’s car crash.

We find out that Daniel is expected to make a full recovery while Alexis remains in a coma. In some really fake crying Wilhelmina assures everyone that Alexis blinked to let her know to go forward with her wedding plans.

Claire sees the show as well and throws a drink at the TV. She and Yoga (the women who helped her escape from prison) are hiding out in the Hamptons. Upset over her children and still drinking like a sailor Claire is sure if she can see Bradford she can fix the situation she’s in.
Wilhelmina has changed his cell and email and moved into her house but Claire thinks a disguise might work.

Amanda is not handling the news of Fey Sommers being her mother well. She’s gained a ton of weight and using candy as her crutch. Marc tries to convince her to call her parents but she’s afraid to find out the truth. However when Wilhelmina mistakes her from the back as Betty she agrees.

Betty visits Daniel in the hospital; he’s supposed to leave that day but doesn’t think he’s ready. Betty tells him he can’t keep using the pain pills to escape his pain. She tells Daniel to try talking to Alexis while she’s in the coma.

The season finale of Ugly Betty was full of a lot of shocking moments. Some I saw coming and some were out of left field. Season one of Ugly Betty wrapped up with some huge moments. A jail break out, a new life is created, and a popular character is apparently killed off in the darkest and most bittersweet episode from the series yet.

Betty has decided to fight for Henry and she leaves him a voice message in the office telling him she really needs to talk to him. When Daniel comes in trying to hide his face Betty gives him his present from Mexico. A Mystic Rock that will help him on his journey of enlightenment. When she sees his black eye (which he has not so cleverly covered in makeup) Daniel lies and tells her he banged his face against a rock when he was rescuing a drowning girl scout in Central Park. An impressed Betty gives him the Sombrero that she bought for Henry.

Wilhelmina is lying in bed when Bradford places a small box on the pillow beside her. Of course it’s an engagement ring which Bradford designed him self in the shape of a blooming flower to represent their blooming love. She accepts of course and privately makes a face of disgust at Bradford’s hideous ring.

Bradford’s current wife Claire knows that Wilhelmina is behind Bradford’s sudden withdrawal from her. He’s stopped taking her calls and had the divorce papers delivered. But she, Yoga and two other inmates have a plan to bust out of the big house and get Claire face to face with her cheating husband. The key to the plan is Sugar-Free Shirley. Claire and the members of her “gang” pass a candy bar to Sugar-Free Shirley a diabetic and tell her she will get $50,000 placed in her daughter’s bank account for eating the candy and going into diabetic shock while being transported upstate tomorrow.

Alexis is already panicking after paying Mr. Wolf to kill her father and she calls him to find out when the situation when happen. He tells her it will happen when it happens and not to contact him again. When the phone call is over Betty walks in and tells Alexis about Daniel’s heroic deed.

Alexis knows Daniel is lying since she was the one who actually saved a drowning kid in Central Park when they were teens. So she suggests Betty arrange a press conference to “reward” Daniel for his heroism.

Daniel is still popping pills in his office when Betty comes in. He lies again and tells her their mints. She sees Henry at her desk and asks for a mint but of course Daniel tells her she doesn’t need one. Betty looking for somewhere private to talk with Henry takes him to the copier room.

A newly determined Betty tells Henry that in love you rarely ever get what you want but if you don’t fight for it you have even less of a chance. She tells Henry she is fighting for him and thinks they would be amazing together and he makes her mouth go dry every time he walks into a room.

The day starts with Betty and the gang are all packed and about to get their Taxi to catch their plane to Mexico. Hilda is worried about her wedding and stressing over getting everything done on time. Justin is complaining about his role as understudy in West Side Story. Betty receives a call from Henry before they leave but doesn’t answer it.

Daniel, Alexis and Wilhelmina are in a meeting. An erratic acting Daniel is jumping over furniture and suggests that the fashion magazine feature pretty thin women, which it already does. When Alexis and Daniel start arguing in front of everyone Wilhelmina announces that Jordan Dunn is being featured for their fearless women profile. An upset Alexis tells Wilhelmina to cancel the shoot and storms out. Daniel reveals that Jordan Dunn was Alexis’ ex-girlfriend who hasn’t seen her since she faked her own death and came back as a woman.

A stressed out Hilda is having too much champagne on the plane. Betty is talking with Ignacio and trying to work out a family tree. When she asks Ignacio about her mom’s mom he gets upset. Ignacio tells them no one knows about what happened with their mother’s first husband except his sister and reveals how nervous he is about returning to Mexico.

In Mexico the Suarez family is at Aunt Mirta’s house and Betty is trying to speak with her relatives unfortunately she barely speaks in Spanish. Hilda is still freaking out over her wedding with her cousin Clara and Ignacio is reuniting with his sister who tells him she has never told anyone his secrets.

When Betty goes to speak with Hilda she notices a women staring at her. She’s told she’s a healer. She tells Betty she will be unhappy for the rest of her life. But there is hope she can’t move forward until she looks back. The answers are behind a tree with missing branches. Hilda walks away thinking the women is crazy but she speaks to Betty a minute longer and shows her that the earring she lost on the plane was actually caught up in her sleeve.

Betty wakes up the next morning and thinks she’s figured out what the healer was talking about. The empty branches must represent her mother’s side of the family tree and she has to fill in the information. When Betty questions her aunt about her mothers relatives she acts like she doesn’t know anything but its obvious she’s hiding something. While Hilda is trying out her cousin Clara’s psychedelic wedding dress (lots of ruffles and lots of different bright colors) Betty loosens up her aunt’s tongue and memory with her Achilles hell alcohol!

After a whole pitcher of her special punch auntie spills the secret, her grandmother is still alive. When Hilda and Betty confront Ignacio he reveals the truth. Her mother preferred she stay with a man who beat her rather than with Ignacio who was only a cook. The day she left she told her she was dead to her, and it was their mother who didn’t want them to know.

Betty is in the hair salon getting her hair and nails done by Hilda as she tries to find a plane ticket for Ignacio to Mexico. Everything is way out of her price range but Hilda thinks Daniel might surprise Betty with a big bonus for Secretaries Day. Daniel does have a surprise for Betty a miniature trophy with the words “worlds’ best notary” in an effort to make the gift a little less crappy Daniel had tapped over notary with the word secretary.

A very bitter Amanda is making sure that everyone knows just how much she hates Secretaries Day. After decapitating an innocent teddy bear, and ruining others Secretaries Day presents she tells Marc she’s not going to the Secretaries Day event that Betty organized at the Middle Ages (a themed restaurant).

Wilhelmina and Bradford are in bed listening to music when Wilhelmina tells Bradford she wants to take him out to a club to help his appreciation of jazz music he declines. He doesn’t want Claire to hear about his actions and cause her more stress while she’s in jail. Wilhelmina tells Bradford its time to move on with their lives and why does he care what a murder thinks. Bradford tells Wilhelmina that Claire is not a murder and he won’t leave her for one moment of insanity.

Rodrigo is still trying to convince Alexis to come to Brazil with him and she replies that she can’t leave her mother while she’s in jail. Rodrigo tells her that her mother would want her to be happy. Alexis goes to visit Claire in jail. When she tells Claire she thinks she’s falling in love with Rodrigo and he wants her to move to Brazil with him Claire tells her if she thinks he’s the one follow him wherever he wants to go just don’t disappear from her life again. Claire is also sporting a big bruise on her check which she tells Alexis it’s from Yoga she doesn’t tell Alexis that Yoga is another inmate.

Daniel is looking like a walking mug shot and Betty lets him know it. When Daniel tries to lie and claim that he was out all night attending the therapy session she made for him. Betty reads an explicit message off of a napkin from a woman he claims was at therapy with him. Daniel confesses to Betty he didn’t go and she tells him he got lucky with The Petra incident but he won’t next time.

In an attempt to entice Amanda to join him at the middle Ages restaurant Marc shows up dressed in costume. Amanda swears Marc to secrecy and reveals to him the reason why she doesn’t want to come; it’s on her acting reel. Amanda’s acting reel is quite a revelation. Theirs the cheesy soap opera scene and an 800 commercial for late night fantasy chatting. But it’s the medieval commercial she’s embarrassed about which features her in full costume and an awful accent. The problem is they play it on a loop at the front door and she thinks everyone will see it and laugh at her. Marc reminds her that if she doesn’t see who laughed she can’t punish them tomorrow.

It’s 3 in the afternoon and Daniel is asleep in his office chair when Betty comes in with his appointment. Tyler Blake a writer from Psychology Today on the 14th floor. She’s made an appointment for Daniel to talk about his “sex problems.” Daniel resists at first but when he overhears a frustrated Betty on the phone trying to make arrangements for her father, and she tells him he has everything but still won’t make an effort to help himself. He agrees to talk to him,

Hilda has been told she has to cut her nails before the cosmetology exam tomorrow she’s just about to start when Justin comes in and tells her not to do it. Justin is upset with his drama teacher for casting him as the understudy in West Side Story instead of the character of Tony. He tells Hilda she is a grown up and can do anything she wants, so she says she quits.

Hilda has been out all night with Santos and in an attempt to hide it from Ignacio and Justin she climbs in through Betty’s window and falls over her. Betty wakes up and they both start to scream. When Hilda asks why Betty isn’t at work Betty responds that Christina was her best friend and she confided information to her that she went and shared with Wilhelmina and Daniel told her to but out of his life, and Henry has a girlfriend. An unsympathetic Hilda tells her to get over it and go to work.

Bradford is getting out of bed with Wilhelmina to go to his morning meeting with Alexis. Wilhelmina continues to try and worm herself into his affections by telling him she can be more than just his morning pick me up she wants to be their for him when he needs someone to talk with. Bradford only seems to have one thing on his mind as he presses Wilhelmina back onto the bed.

Daniel is meeting with Petra and Leta who are blackmailing him for sleeping with an underage Petra. When Daniel tries to pay them off with $75,000 in cash Leta responds that Petra gets the cover or he goes to jail.

When Betty finally gets up her nerve to go into Daniels office she is all business. He attempts to talk with her but she reminds him he already said everything that needed to be said “You’re the boss and I’m just your assistant.”

Wilhelmina has had about all the sex with Bradford that she can take. She gives his Viagra pills to Marc and tells him to replace them with anything. When Marc asks her if it’s really worth it Wilhelmina replies it’s the only way that she can run his empire. Marc tells her if she really wants to move past being just his mistress she needs to make herself indispensable. Find the thorn in his side and pull it out.

Bradford gets right down to business with Alexis he offers her 10 million dollars to resign from Mode and disappear. He tells Alexis that he only has one child now and he wants him in charge. An enraged Alexis lets him know that she’s not going anywhere until she makes him pay for everything that he has done to her.

The day starts at Mode offices. Amanda is wasting time drawing pictures of Betty at her desk and Betty is fielding calls for an absent Daniel and lying about his whereabouts (Daniel is seen in various scenes having sex). Betty calls him and tells him to head over since Alexis is completely taking over. Betty catches an unexpected visitor snooping around Daniel’s office its Quincy Combs the gossip monger writer. Betty finds out he is writing a new tell all book about the Meade’s and kicks him out.

Christina is altering a dress for Wilhelmina that she wants as short as possible in order to entice Bradford. Marc is jealous over Christina’s invite to a night club Praque. When Christina makes a comment about how unhappy she is over how she got the invite (being Wilhelmina’s spy) Wilhelmina reminds her that she can take it away just as easily.

At the Suarez home a happy Ignacio is relieved when Constance takes off the ankle bracelet. When he asks to meet his lawyer Constance tells him to come over for dinner. When he questions her motives Constance assures him she is over her crush on him. A much more suspicious Hilda tries to talk him out of going but Ignacio only has a month until his court date and doesn’t want to make any waves.

Back at the Mode offices it’s almost two in the evening and Daniel shows up looking rumbled and needing a shave. Betty shows Daniel he has made Page Six and tells him about Quincy Combs. She warns Daniel that if Quincy finds out how out of control he has gotten he will take up the first 6 chapters of his book and will damage the respect he has started to get in the industry.

Daniel tells Betty she worries too much and tells her Alexis is taking care of everything, and that everything he worked for at Mode has been taken away from him. Now he is being exactly what his family expects him to be and he’s good at it. A disappointed Betty reminds Daniel he has models coming in later.

Turns out Quincy was at Mode for a meeting with Alexis. She tells him she hates her father and wants to see him trashed. When she mentions his affair with Fey Summers he tells her about the dairies. Alexis wonders if there is anything in them that could help get her mother out of jail but Quincy tells her the last six months of dairies before Claire died are missing. He believes they may be locked up in Fey’s secret room this “love dungeon” is supposedly where Fey and Bradford had secret tryst.

Daniel is meeting with the models Petra and her older sister Leta. Betty tries to remind him about his meeting but Daniel is too busy romancing the models and making plans for the evening, and tells Betty his sister can handle it.

Betty goes to upload her frustration about Daniel to Christina. Christina tells Betty Daniel is her boss and not her friend. She warns Betty that everyone at Mode has their own agenda and not to get in too deep. Christina tells Betty that since Henry got back together with Charlie her whole life has become about Daniel. She invites Betty to go to the club with her and makes her promise not to even think about Mode for the whole night.

But before they leave Betty needs to change clothes! She tries on various outfits then puts her same outfit back on with the addition of a bright pink bow and a pair of pink high heels. As the two of them are leaving Becks gets off the elevator to go see Daniel with 6 bottles of champagne.

Betty answers a phone call from Quincy Combs pretending to be Daniels limo driver and tells him where Daniel is. Betty tries to call Daniel and ends up leaving a voice mail. Christina tries to distract her by introducing her to two guys at the bar. She goes off to dance and leaves Betty with the big guy. Ben is a full head taller than everyone around him and keeps bumping in to them as he and Betty dance. While their dancing Daniel, Becks and the two models show up in the VIP section.

I think I say it every week but Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is my favorite episode of Ugly Betty. This episode was quite bittersweet, a lot of comedy was involved but there was just as much dramatic moments and the ending was heartbreaking….

It’s the day after Claire Meade’s confession, and a reporter is outside the offices of Meade Publications. Bradford has just been released from prison; the reporter tries to interview Betty as she walks by. Betty says “no comment” but is so distracted she walks smack dab into the glass plated bus stop.

It’s the next day and in the Suarez home we see Justin is at home replaying the action of Betty bumping into the glass and Hilda is trying not to laugh. Betty shares with Hilda that she feels guilty because she talked Claire Meade into confessing. Ignacio is going crazy from being on house arrest, but still has 4 weeks t o go until his hearing.

Alexis has been fired by Bradford and goes to her office to pick up her things. Bradford is waiting for her and they share a touching father son/daughter moment as he finally gets a good look at his new daughter. They snipe at each other at first: “In the life I wanted you were behind bars” (Alexis) In the life I wanted you were a man” (Bradford)

Bradford shows Alexis the painted rock she gave him when she was six and tells he when she was dead he kept it in memory of the son he used to have, then he throws it into the trash because now it only reminds him of the son he never should of have. They both say their relationship is finished (and you can see just how much these two are alike).

Marc turns down Amanda’s invitation to a Prada fashion show his mother (Patti LuPone) is coming into town for a cat show. Amanda is informed that Marc dumped her as his pretend girlfriend because his mother, Mrs. Weiner was starting to hint at their getting married.

Bradford goes to see Claire in hospital where she’s receiving detox. Claire is handcuffed to the bed and scared of what’s coming. Bradford tells Claire she should have left him in jail and tells her he will always be there for her. Claire tells Bradford she hopes he’s still on her side when he finds out what she’s planning to do. Bradford doesn’t own Mode magazine (just Meade publications), and can’t fire Alexis. Claire rehires Alexis and makes her and Daniel coeditors.

Daniel is lying in bed with Grace when he finds out she is going to meet with his mother in the morning and panics. Daniel lies and says his mother is having a relapse since her husband has been arrested and hiding out somewhere. Daniel then checks his mother into the Regent Hotel and tells her not to talk to anyone.

Betty is at her orthodontist’s office and gets new braces put in and flirts a little with her orthodontist (Gabe). Then she runs into Charlie and Henry at the office elevators and gets invited to Charlie’s birthday party. Henry tells Betty after Charlie leaves that she doesn’t have to come if she feels awkward, but Betty assures him she will be there.

Amanda and Marc are at her desk talking when she gets a package delivered from Oswald Lorenzo. Amanda was at a party the night before and shoved the girl he was talking to away so she could talk to him and thinks that impressed him. It’s a silver shrink wrap rubber looking dress called “The Amanda” she puts it on immediately.

Alexis tries to make peace with Wilhelmina over her betrayal by offering her a scarf. Wilhelmina isn’t willing to forgive and says the scarf will make a nice present for her cleaning lady. Alexis explains to Wilhelmina that Daniel turned his back on their father for her and she has to give him a chance. Wilhelmina tells her she has big man hands and completely dismisses her with pure divatude. While in Wilhelmina’s office Grace Chin comes on the news and Alexis finds out that she is the lawyer defending her father. As she leaves Wilhelmina tells Marc they will have to make sure Daniel disappoints Alexis.

Daniel is talking with Betty in his office and lets it slip that he is sleeping with Grace Chin. Daniel tells Betty she can’t tell anyone, and tells Betty to get Christina to send her the Katherine Maladrone dress.

Bradford asks Wilhelmina to entertain a major client, Ted who owns a department chain store franchise. So Marc and Wilhelmina decide to make their guest comfortable by redecorating her office Cowboy style. When Ted arrives he’s not interested in dinner at some fancy restaurant.

Sofia gives Betty a copy of her book with an inscription inside it and asks Betty’s opinion on appealing to a regular girl about sexahoilics. Daniel is watching from his office the whole time and assumes she’s talking about him. Daniel is already upset over the fact that Sofia has taken over Mode conference rooms and accuses her of trying to hijack his assistant.

In his office Daniel tells Betty Sofia is using the article to play games with him, he just knows she wants him, so he decides to play the game right back. He does have some work for Betty to do. Pick up his dry cleaning and get him a new plastic chair thingy. Of course Betty is a little disappointed since Sofia wanted her opinion as an intelligent young woman.

Daniel offers Betty the chance to write a review for a new luxury hotel,
Betty is excited but she already made plans with Walter to go to Atlantic City for the weekend. Walter is upset because he really wants to see the live show of The Price is Right, and tells Betty he is going without her.

This episode of Ugly Betty starts off with Betty and Hilda consult a lawyer to see what they need to do to keep their father in the country; the only problem is it will cost them $20,000! When going through Ignacio’s documents at home they find a torn picture of their mother with a mans hand in the picture.

Hilda talks Betty into selling Herbalux products at Mode. Even with coaching from Hilda before she left home Betty fails miserably. Meanwhile Hilda is selling Herbalux outside of a gym when she gets into an argument with a guy and is asked to leave, she meets a lawyer named Leah (Debi Mazar) who bails her out.

Hilda goes to Mode magazine to help Betty out, they set up in the cafeteria and the sells are going great until Wilhelmina shows up. Hilda and Betty are told they can’t sell products on private property and Hilda is told to leave. Wilhelmina tells Betty to come to her office. Betty explains to Wilhelmina that her father is in legal trouble and she needs to raise $20,000. Wilhelmina writes Betty a check hoping that she will be able to use Betty as part of the scheme between her and the masked woman to make sure Daniel doesn’t have any power when they make their move on Mode.

Episode #16

This episode of Ugly Betty starts with Betty dreaming and boy does she have some freaky dreams. First Claire shows up in her dreams (drinking of course) and threatens to kill Betty is she tells anyone she killed Fey Sommers. Then Henry shows up to talk about his girlfriend who Betty sees as an over made up, tramp and the two kiss right over Betty.

In the office Daniel and Alexis get off the elevator together they seem to be getting alone pretty well and Alexis even adjusts Daniel’s tie before they go there separate ways. Daniel offers Betty two tickets to a VP only party, she seems distracted and before he can get into his office she yells out that his mother had Fey Sommers killed.

Marc puts out a “gaypb” to find out why Alexis is being so chummy with Daniel. He finds out that she has no friends. Christina is asked to snitch on Betty and Daniel but says she wants no part. Wilhelmina orders Marc to be her new best friend, “Be her new Betty”. Marc replies “Guess I have to start eating potatoes”. Wilhelmina invites Alexis out to the ballet with her.

Daniel goes to see his father who tells him to get a lawyer but not just any lawyer, Grace Chin (Lucy Liu), “The Chin”, turns out to be a woman who Daniel was supposed to go on a date with in college but he ditched and never called. Becks tells him to give her a call she will be happy to hear from a man.

Betty is talking with Christina about Henry’s girlfriend who she is sure is a tramp. When Christian gets a call from Sarah Jessica Parker, she freaks out and Betty takes the call and does a rather funny Scottish accent. Christina is told she has to design a dress for Sarah Jessica Parker in 12 hours.

Betty then goes to Mode Cafeteria and runs into a new girl, they make friends and Betty invites her to the VP event before she finds out that her new friend Charlie (Jayma Mays) is actually Henry’s girlfriend. Betty is crushed! After lunch Betty tries to hide from Henry under Amanda’s desk. Of course Amanda rats her out. Henry thanks her for inviting Charlie out and says the only thing she’s been doing since she got there is watching TV in bed (ouch!). Amanda tells Betty “Watching nerd love is so tedious”. Amanda tells her to seize her inner Mode bitch and fight for her “dweeb”.

What a perfect name for this episode of Ugly Betty. In this episode we see the “brothers” Daniel and Alexis carrying on sibling rivalry at its most gruesome. Each brother is determined to get the upper hand and gain control over the company. Alexis lays down the gauntlet by firing Daniel and putting Wilhelmina in charge at a staff meeting. But Daniel is prepared for her and his lawyers have an injunction stopping her. Even though Alex had rights in the company as his fathers eldest son he was declared legally dead and Alexis has no authority to fire Daniel.

The sibling rivalry does not end there. The brothers duke it out at a press conference in front of everyone and Daniel becomes jealous when he sees his mother is happy to have her eldest son back in her life.

Betty has been trying to keep the peace between the brothers with Claire’s help they come up with a plan to bring the brothers back together. Turns out all it takes to squelch sibling rivalry is some good old fashioned bumper car fun? Their rivalry now over the brothers agree to work together. When Wilhelmina finds out that once again she has been double crossed by a member of the Meade family she is furious and we can be sure that she is going to get revenge on the entire Meade clan!

Last Thursday’s episode of Ugly Betty, “I’m Coming Out” marked the beginning of February sweeps, and the episode helped ABC win the night in total ratings. Ugly Betty had a rating of 9.3 beating out an episode of CSI to win the 8pm time slot. The addition of Rebecca Romijn to the cast helped the show score a 4.8 rating among adults the highest the show has scored since the first two episodes premiered.

“She’s a model shiny things confuse her” Amanda to Marc on how to distract the model whose dress they are trying to steal.

“If this is anything like my prom night you’re paying for the therapy” Marc to Amanda when she tells him to come on to the model.

At home Ignacio is dealing with his unstable case worker from INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services) Constance, who just got dumped by her boyfriend Tucson. Ignacio is surprised with Constance shows up the next day unannounced to make him some Gumbo. Ignacio quickly realizes that Constance likes him and the only way to get rid of Constance is to get her back together with her ex boyfriend. When he contacts Tucson he finds out Tucson was only dating her to get his green card and if Ignacio wants to get his green card he will have to date Constance as well.

Wilhelmina after having a cat fight with Fabia (a cosmetics owner, last featured in the pilot episode) goes to see her doctor and gets a cosmetic procedure. Wilhelmina wakes up the morning of the fashion show to find out her face is grotesquely swollen from the procedure. She has to wear huge sunglasses and needs Marc on her arm to guide her. Justin ends up leading Wilhelmina around when Marc ditches her.
