Congrats to America Ferrera and Ugly Betty for putting another trophy in that bulging Ugly Betty case. Ferrera won best actress at the 9th Annual Family Television Awards. The show also won for best comedy. High School Musical 2 cutie Zac Effron won for best actor and his Disney Channel original movie won for best drama. Now since Ugly Betty has won so many awards its time for me to give out one as well.

This award goes to Jennifer Love Hewitt for most Betty like behavior in real life. Just like Tyra Banks last year very unflattering pictures of Jennifer have surfaced while wearing a bikini. The pictures were taken while vacationing in Hawaii with her fiancé. What’s so damaging about these pictures nothing but a little cellulite! Is the image even that accurate? The angle is odd and it’s taken from the back and could possibly be Photoshopped.

Best Friends: Becki Newton and Michael Urie as their characters Amanda and Marc on Ugly Betty get us laughing every Thursday night with snarky humor. Not only are their characters great friends on the show they also have a close friendship in real life. In fact they even live in the same apartment building! Odd Couple: Rumors are circulating that Vanessa Williams and Vince Vaughn are dating. The Wedding Crashers star was most famously linked to Brad Pitt ex Jennifer Aniston. Maybe the rumors are only a result of buzz related to his new Christmas movie Fred Claus which is set to open November 9. Vanessa Williams for her part hasn’t had much to say about the rumors. Her ex husband (former NBA player) Rick Fox has recently made several guest appearances in Ugly Betty.

Can the real life Betty’s handle the pressure?

How do you know you have a hit show on your hand? When it inspires a reality TV show on the same concept! VH1 the network well know for creating controversial reality TV shows is apparently developing a new show called America The Ugly. Inspired by Ugly Betty the show will follow several “plain Jane’s” who enter the oh so cruel but glamorous world of fashion and modeling. Although the Pilot has been filmed no additional episode have been ordered as of yet.

Vanessa Williams discusses her mother

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and its time to get all warm and gushy as we honor all the special women in our lives who gave us life! In a recent interview Ugly Betty cast member Vanessa Williams does just that.

Vanessa discusses her mother Helen Williams, who is a retired public school music teacher. Vanessa and Helen share some of the life lessons Helen has passed on to Vanessa. I should have been watching the new episode of Ugly Betty that finally played last night. Technically I did watch it, my TV was tuned to ABC but unlike the rest of you all I got was video and loud static noise! No it was not my TV I checked all 5 of them. It was my local ABC affiliate which for some reason didn’t realize it was only playing static! Even though I was disappointed that I couldn’t see the episode with you guys it has inspired me to search for the best ways to watch Ugly Betty online. So far only three options seem available…

1. Watch for free at ABC: ABC’s media player gives you the opportunity to watch full episodes of Ugly Betty as well as other hits like Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. Shows are presented with limited commercials, and their new media player gives you the option to watch the show in mini media player to full screen. Episodes of new shows are available the morning after they air and they are free!

2. Pay for episodes at the Itunes Store: If you don’t mind paying for free shows, episodes of Ugly Betty (and many other shows) are available they day after they air. You can purchase episodes individually or purchase a season pass and get access to all episodes. You can even watch episodes of the show right on your computer screen or download to your ipod and watch Ugly Betty anywhere at anytime.

Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund

April 16, 2007, will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the history of the Virginia Tech community and the world beyond.

Why am I dancing, you ask? Ugly Betty is back and all new (finally) this Thursday! In episode 19 “Punch Out” Betty tries to keep Daniel on the up and up as he reverts to his old male gigolo ways, with lots of partying and models. A tabloid style writer is stalking the Meade family and she has possession of Fey Summers diaries. Guess which two diabolical divas want these diaries? Yes it’s Wilhelmina and Alexis but they have different plans for them. On the home front Ignacio is feeling the pressure as Constance urges him to turn their relationship into a romantic one.

What I can’t wait too see!

* Will Ignacio give in to Constance?
Obviously Constance wants him, and what Constance wants she will probably get! Especially since Ignacio’s future in America will probably depend on making her very happy.

*Will Eric and Alexis make up?
The last new episode of Ugly Betty left Daniel feeling rather dejected. His sister once again left him in the dust and made him feel like a failure. Both his mother and father are too caught up in their feelings about Alexis to give any thought to Daniel’s needs or feelings. Claire is happy to have Alexis back and is caught up in the fantasy of them being one big happy family; While Bradford is obsessed with getting revenge and keeping Claire out of jail.

*What secrets are in Fey Summers diaries?
My first guess is intimate details about Bradford Meade in bed, as well as details on his shady business practices. Bradford is the type who doesn’t mind getting dirty to get what he wants, and he’s got to have some skeletons in the closet. Who knows what else!
