Congratulations to Kevin Alejandro and his musicisan wife Leslie. They welcomed a 7 lbs 2 oz baby boy on February 22 in Los Angeles! Kevin played Santos Hilda’s fiancee and Justin’s father on Season 1 of Ugly Bettyuntil his character was murdered in a robbery attempt at a convenience store. The baby announcement was given exclusively to People.

Salma Hayek was also recently discussing her beautiful baby daughter revealed that she was hoping for a boy at first. Worrying that mothers and daughters always have conflict between them but now is happy that she had a girl. “…I’m in a state of innocence where I love everything she does. If she does a poop and I have to change the diaper, I even love that moment!”

She also stated that she doesn’t really feel a need for marriage, though some people need a commitment her and Francois-Henri Pinault might just throw a huge party instead to celebrate their family. Even more interesting Salma shared that she and Valentina live in Los Angeles but Francois still lives in Paris.

The Billionaire’s Club

Salma Hayek is truly living a blessed life. Just 4 months after giving birth she’s already back in top notch shape and showing off her figure. Even better a recent poll from In Touch magazinevoted Salma and billionaire fiancé Francois Henri-Pinault the richest couple in Hollywood, by far.

Salma is the executive producer of Ugly Betty, owns her own film production company and has starred in high profile blockbusters such as Desperados and Dogma. But Henri the chairman of the luxury goods firm that owns Gucci and Puma (among others) is worth 7 Billion! Wow. I’d be happy with just one billion; in fact I would be satisfied with one tenth of one percent of one billion dollars!

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell are also rubbing elbows with billionaires. They will be partying with Sheldon Adelson, the guy who tops Forbes list as the worlds third richest man. From January 17 till 19 he’s celebrating the opening of his new property, Palazzo Las Vegas. Diana Ross and Seal are booked as performers. While everyone from Ugly Betty seems to be keeping pretty quiet since this strike Salma Hayek has signed on for a new movie role. In Cirque Du Freak Salma will actually play a bearded lady. If she can make a unibrow sexy (Frida) then she may be the only woman I know who can actually be a sex symbol with a beard. The movie is a horror film about vampires and I don’t know much more at this point.

But Salma is not just making movies she is also using motherhood to improve the lives of others. Salma has signed on a spokesperson for the “One Pack = One Vaccine” program campaign by Pampers. In partnership with UNICEF it will provide free tetanus shot vaccines for babies (and mothers) in Africa and Asia.

Applause to Salma for supporting such a wonderful cause. Tetanus is a nervous system disease that is completly preventable with vaccines. Globally a million people a year die from the disease with half of the deaths from newborns. Salma is also set to participate in a Gucci event that will raise funds for UNICEF.

The newest addition to the billionaire babies club can finally be seen up close and personal! Salma Hayek shows off her beautiful baby girl, the two month old Valentina Paloma in a photo taken by a top photographer from her publicity agency. Isn’t she just adorable? The “official” photo probably made quite a few celebrity magazines sad. People especially, which lately has been getting all the exclusive shots of new celebrity babies (and paying for them with insane amounts of money.) Salma looks happy and already dropping off the baby weight to get back her famous curves.

The father of course is Salma’s fiancee Francois-Henri Pinault billionaire CEO of PPR the luxury goods firm that owns Gucci. (Who Salma may or may not already be married too!) Salma will also participate in a Gucci event next year where Madonna will be the musical guest. As Gucci opens its largest shop in the world on New York’s Fifth Avenue, funds for Raising Malawi and UNICEF will be raised at the event to support underprivileged children. The new mom also has several movies to film next year and let’s not forget more Ugly Betty to work on as executive producer!

Salma goes South: Post pregnancy mommy Salma Hayek has already been cast in a new movie. Not so surprisingly considering Salma is a new mommy the film is an animated feature geared towards family. In “South of the Border” a pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua named Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore) gets lost while vacationing in Mexico. Salma plays her spirit guide who helps her to find her true heritage, whatever that means. Other Latin stars included in the cast are Paul Rodriguez, Andy Garcia and George Lopez.

America does the UK: America Ferrera looks wonderful on the cover of UK edition of Marie Claire magazine and I’m glad to say not Photoshopped! The sultry photos show the Ugly Betty star in her natural beauty. America opens up to talk about not having her father in her life, the trend to label everyone as curvy even when their super skinny and how acting helped her to make something of her life.

Congratulations to Salma Hayek and fiancé Francois Henri Pinaulton! The birth of their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault has finally happened and both mommy and baby are well. Salma announced her pregnancy and engagement news back in March. The baby girl is just in time for Season 2 of Ugly Betty which starts this Thursday! This is Salma’s first child but she will gain 2 more as stepchildren when she and Francois tie the knot. No information besides the babies name has been released. Source

I know a lot of us feared that with the anorexic stick figure crop of young and dumb Hollywood ladies out now that everyone thought sexy meant skinny. It turns out the sexiest women in Hollywood is none other than Salma Hayek! In a poll done by E-Poll Market Research Salma Hayek topped the list and was voted “sexy” by 65% of the population.

An overwhelming number considering that the average celebrity only scored 15%. Other curvy stars such as Carmen Electra and Beyonce also made the top 5. But topping one list isn’t enough for Salma Hayek she also placed third on a poll by In Touch Weekly Magazine for fabulous 40-something. The 40 year old Salma came in behind first place Halle Berry and second place Daisy Fuentes.

America Ferrera, Ana Ortiz and Salma Hayek are among the 50 Most Beautiful people according to People en Español. This is the second 2007 “beautiful people” list that America Ferrera has graced. She is also featured in People Magazines 100 Most Beautiful list (the English version).

Want to find out more about People en Español’s list? Telemundo Network will be broadcasting a TV special on May 19th, 9:00 p.m., ET. The special will also include a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to put together the list. If thats not enough entertainment news show Extra will have a special hour long episode about the magazine on May 19th and 20th.

If that wasn’t enough to make America Ferrera feel like a swan instead of the ugly duckling she plays in Ugly Betty she is listed in Time Magazines list of the 100 most influential people in the world. In the weirdest Salma Hayek news I have ever come across Oscar winning Rap duo Three 6 Mafia have professed their love for Ugly Betty actress and producer Salma Hayek. DJ Paul and Juicy J have penned an open love letter to King Magazine asking both Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz to move to Memphis, Tennessee to be their partners and do their part to increase race relations by having kids with them.

The platinum selling rap group is best remembered for receiving an Academy Award for best original song for “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” from the soundtrack to Hustle & Flow at the 78th Annual Academy Awards.

Congratulations are in order for Salma Hayek and her production partner Jose Tamaz. Salma Hayek isn’t just pregnant with her first child, her and Tamez have entered into a partnership with MGM to form her own film company!

Salma Hayek and Tamez will be able to retain complete creative control over their projects and will have an opportunity to bring 2 to 4 film projects to the marketplace every year. Their production company Ventanazul will oversee projects that focus on Latin themes. Their film projects will focus on making these themes both mainstream and universally appealing. Source

Gorgeous sex symbol Salma Hayek recently revealed her own Ugly Betty moment. Salma discussed how surprised she is to be considered a sex symbol in America. In her native Mexico while growing up Salma faced insecurities and taunting because of her height and because she didn’t look like the traditional symbol of female beauty. Salma Hayek is a former gymnast and is reported to stand at 5 feet 2 inches.

Ugly Betty cast response to Salma Hayek’s recent engagement and pregnancy has been nothing but positive. Turns out America Ferrera already knew about Salma’s news but was sworn to secrecy. Rebecca Romijn commented that Salma had recently bought her new beau to the Ugly Betty set and jokingly stated that maybe she and her billionaire fiancée were already married.
