by Dorothy
It’s Monday and normally that would be another drab boring day but today I have a speical treat for all the Eric Mabius fans. Here is a very hot picture of Eric shirtless, the picture is from the UK celebrity rag Heat. That is one very sexy father!

My friend just leant me the first series of the L-word, and although I don’t find Eric Mabius’s character particularly convincing in Ugly Betty, I thought he was brilliant as Tim Haspel. I actually cried over the love triangle incident with Jenny, Tim and Marina (and I never cry over that kind of thing usually), I thought he played the part really well - you can really feel the turmoil he’s going through, and he’s so sweet! I know the character’s fictional but I had to write this somewhere, the plotline just affected me too much!

I am also one who needs a bit more convincing in his character in Ugly Betty, but it doesn’t mean I hate him. I sometimes feel his style is laid back or may be too methodical he needs to be more natural or experiment more with diverse emotions. Although with the description of his performance in the Lword, I need to see it, that is where I sometimes am confused with him as an actor. He usually was just a nameless actor in the background for me. I didn’t expect him to be likeable, thanks to Ugly Betty. If he amps up his performances a little, it will do him good as it is a chance for many to see that there could be more to that beautiful body and face. I wish to see him more in main roles, I think he can be a good fit in romantic comedies, like Hugh Grant.

Ok I’m going to do an actor profile on Eric for the beginning of the week, he’s actually had some very diverse roles and its nice to see him play the playboy for a change.
He’s gorgeous and would be great in romantic comedies but I would love to see him do more action films and he’s got a horror film coming to cable for Halloween, I’ll keep you guys posted.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge of Eric’s other diverse roles. He and other shows he has been are not as seen in a major way as Ugly Betty in other countries. Though his face is familiar to me before this show, I would say I was initiated to him as a major actor in this way and in this genre and liked him in it. I guess I just think romantic comedies exploits more an actors capacity for deeper emotions and couple that with those blue eyes. I don’t mind seeing him in action mode I just prefer seeing him talking more and emoting more I guess. Well, I’d be catching more of him from now on in the best way satellite TV can gather. I’m just too addicted to Ugly Betty. I’m happy he is in it. Yes, gorgeous, that’s what he is.
