Episode 24: How Betty got her Grieve Back is finally ready! The new episode will be loaded by Monday.

The Beginning: Picks up 3 weeks after the Season 1 finale

Betty has fallen asleep on the couch and dreams she’s in a telenovela dressed as a maid. As she cries over Henry and Charlie together Henry comes in and tells her he loves her. The two start to kiss when Charlie shows up very pregnant and holding a gun and Henry chooses her instead. Justin wakes up Betty and the two talk for a moment. They mention Hilda has been hiding out in her room for the last three weeks, and they both miss Ignacio who is still stuck in Mexico waiting on a Visa. Betty rushes off to work and Justin is off to summer camp.

Upstairs Hilda is in bed, and Santos comes out the bathroom with bandages wrapped around his torso. Santos wants to go home but Hilda is afraid to let him out of her site since the shooting. She tells him they have a great setup and turns on Fashion TV where Wilhelmina is given an interview on her wedding and the Meade sibling’s car crash.

We find out that Daniel is expected to make a full recovery while Alexis remains in a coma. In some really fake crying Wilhelmina assures everyone that Alexis blinked to let her know to go forward with her wedding plans.

Claire sees the show as well and throws a drink at the TV. She and Yoga (the women who helped her escape from prison) are hiding out in the Hamptons. Upset over her children and still drinking like a sailor Claire is sure if she can see Bradford she can fix the situation she’s in.
Wilhelmina has changed his cell and email and moved into her house but Claire thinks a disguise might work.

Amanda is not handling the news of Fey Sommers being her mother well. She’s gained a ton of weight and using candy as her crutch. Marc tries to convince her to call her parents but she’s afraid to find out the truth. However when Wilhelmina mistakes her from the back as Betty she agrees.

Betty visits Daniel in the hospital; he’s supposed to leave that day but doesn’t think he’s ready. Betty tells him he can’t keep using the pain pills to escape his pain. She tells Daniel to try talking to Alexis while she’s in the coma.

Wilhelmina is planning the November fashion shoot with Shelia a new editor and has completely ignored Daniel’s plans. When Shelia attempts to kiss up Wilhelmina reminds her to save the ass kissing for the clients. Using her new catchphrase “sparkle and dazzle” she dismisses the meeting. Gloating over putting out the best issue of the magazine yet with Marc she stills upset that Mode will never be hers since Claire owns it not Bradford. Wilhelmina is worried that any contact with Bradford and Claire before the wedding could ruin her chances of getting the rest of the Meade Empire.

The Middle: Sexcapes and Pirates

Betty stops by to see Christina before the natural disasters photo shoot. Christina tells Betty she can’t keep going at this pace and should call Henry. Betty tells her she has no time to worry about a boyfriend she has to look straight ahead and not be distracted. As she says this she plows right into a large Mode glass that reads “Love Hurts.”

Betty has to get an eye patch from the doctor but still refuses to face her feelings and rushes off again leaving Christina to pick up her prescription. After speaking to Ignacio and telling him she missed the meeting with his immigration lawyer. Betty gets a call informing her Justin has escaped from summer camp to rebel against making dream catchers and has stolen a bottle of glitter. Betty sits down on the bench at the bus stop and a bird comes to sit on her shoulder, creating a hilarious pirate image!

Marc and Amanda show up at her childhood home to see her parents. They come downstairs in their gowns Amanda tells them she knows their dirty little secret. Her father states they have no secrets their open book then another couple comes down the stairs also in their gowns. Amanda’s parents are swingers!

They try to cover up by saying that their “new Internet friends” got sprayed by the sprinklers and are now waiting for their clothes to dry. Her father still states they have no secrets. When Amanda loses her nerve Marc blurts out the truth of their visit. Amanda’s parents confess that she’s adopted but they don’t know who her father is and Fey never wanted her to know she was her real mother. Amanda still eating candy informs her parents she will never trust them again.

Daniel still hasn’t gotten up the nerve to go into Alexis hospital room. A sleazy photographer sneaks in and takes pictures of her then Daniel when he protests. The nurse tries to get Daniel to go into her room but he states its time for his pill and leaves.

Amanda and Marc are on the elevator wondering who her real father could be. Bradford gets on the elevator and Marc notices them doing the same gestures and thinks he’s her father! Amanda is panicked because it would mean she slept with her own half brother (Daniel)! Marc tells her not to panic until they find out for sure using DNA.

Justin sneaks into Mode as Amanda is trying to get Bradford’s DNA by asking him to lick an envelope for her. Betty walks in not realizing what Amanda was up to shows her how to seal it. Amanda tells Betty something looks different about her but didn’t realize it was the eye patch. Betty sees that Amanda has rubber daisies on her desk and asks about them. Their from Henry with a note saying “thinking of you.” Betty is upset that she didn’t receive them but Amanda tells her pretty girls have problems too and walks off.

Betty is at the natural disasters photo shoot with Wilhelmina and Shelia. The shoot is a before and after showing women at their worst trying to survive a natural disaster and then their given a makeover to show them as strong survivors. Betty is mistaken for a disaster (mudslide) by Shelia and goes to get a bagel. Unfortunately their all out when famine offers Betty her bagel Betty has a melt down. Betty states that she can’t take food from famine and that everyone is obsessed with fixing the outside and no one cares about the inside. She points out that theirs not enough styling gel in the world to bring back the people they’ve lost and storms out. Shelia agrees with Betty that they don’t have enough styling gel.

Betty is dealing by eating comfort food french fries. By the time Daniel tracks her down she’s on her third helping and switched over to chili cheese fries signaling a big problem. He received several dozen calls about her blowup at the fashion shoot and wanted to know if she was alright. Betty admits to Daniel that Henry has finally gotten to her and she’s still thinking about him. Daniel tells Betty to go back to the office to get some things she’ll need for the night.

Wilhelmina and the style team are picking out designs for a model but no one can please her. Justin is hiding behind the clothing rack and makes a spot on suggestion. Wilhelmina declares that the “little fashion elf” has the gift. Then Marc comes in with a call from Claire. Claire tells Wilhelmina she will sign over Mode magazine to her if she agrees to leave Bradford. Wilhelmina is told to meet her tonight at Central Park with the papers where she will be dressed like a nun or a cat.

Amanda’s second attempt to get Bradford’s DNA by giving him a paper cut and offering to swap it doesn’t work. So Marc is on the case. He tells Bradford that Wilhelmina detests his ear hair and offers to clip it for him. He gives the sample to Amanda who’s waiting outside and informs her to never send a girl to do a women’s job.

Hilda still in bed with Santos planning their wedding he wants to elope since he’s learned to live for the moment but she wants Ignacio to see her in her wedding dress. She goes to try on her wedding dress for him. After trying it on she tells Santos she wants to hear his wedding vows. Outside Daniel has Betty dig a hole outside so she can place her memories of Henry in it and put him to rest. As she digs a nun walks by…

The nun is waiting for Wilhelmina but it’s a double cross neither Wilhelmina nor Claire have shown up. Instead Marc is met by Yoga. Claire sneaks into Bradford’s office assuming he will be working late but is confronted by Wilhelmina instead. Wilhelmina tells her she knew she would never steal Mode out from under her own children. She fixes Claire a drink and tells her the police are on their way in 3 minutes. Claire punches her out, drowns the drink and declares she only needs 1.

Betty and Hilda both reflect on lost love as the scene goes back and forth over Santos reading his wedding vows to Hilda and Betty lays to rest her feelings for Henry. Daniel also decides to lay to rest his pill addiction and adds them to the grave. Daniel confides in Betty that the accident was his fault and he feels guilty since he was high at the time and Alexis was rushing him to the hospital.

The ending: Revelations

Marc has been beaten up and robbed and Wilhelmina is sporting a bruised eye. She decides that she needs protection since Claire has friends on the outside.

Daniel finally goes to see Alexis in a coma as he talks to her she wakes up. She has amnesia and still thinks she’s Alex!

Betty is at home cooking dinner when Justin comes home she knows all about his day at Mode and tells him she got him a summer internship for the rest of his summer break.

Hilda is still in bed with Santos and wants to discuss which family is cheaper in wedding gifts hers or his but he tells her he has to go and she starts to cry. Betty comes up and knocks on the door. As she opens it and we see Hilda is all alone in a dark room and all the scenes with Santos where just her fantasies and he is dead. She says to Betty he’s gone and for the first time she’s said it out loud. Betty holds her as she cries for Santos.

A bus rolls through New York and Henry gets off of it. Our favorite nerd is back.
