What do you know about Silvio Horta? 3 Fast Facts
We all love Silvio Horta as for his work as head writer on Ugly Betty but you might have seen his work before now.
1. Silvio created the Sci-Fi series Jake 2.0 which would star everyone’s favorite future nerd Christopher Gorham. He also served as executive producer and a writer for the show. The series aired on UPN in 2003 but was canceled in its first season. The plot revolved around a geek who works for the NSA (National Security Agency), after being infected by nanobots he gains superhuman powers and gets to go under cover as a spy to be the NSA’s secret weapon.
2. Silvio served as executive producer and writer for the Sci Fi series The Chronicle. The show focused around a group of writers at a tabloid magazine who realized that the monsters aliens and other creatures they wrote about were real. The series was canceled after the first season.
3. Silvio wrote the screenplay for Urban Legends. The movie starred Rebecca Gayheart, Joshua Jackson and Tara Reid and dealt with a college campus where a real murder was copying popular urban legends.
